At Portobello Mosque, we are dedicated to meeting the religious, educational, social, and wellbeing needs of our local Muslim community in Edinburgh and East Lothian. Core Religious Services

  • Five Daily Prayers (Salah)
    Congregational prayers are held throughout the day for men and women.
  • Jummah (Friday Prayer)
    Weekly Friday sermons and prayers, open to the full community.
  • Taraweeh and Iftar during Ramadan
    Nightly Taraweeh prayers and community Iftar meals during the holy month.
  • Eid Prayers
    Special congregational Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha prayers with large community gatherings.
  • Nikah (Marriage) Services
    Conducted by qualified Imams in accordance with Islamic and UK legal requirements.

Janazah (Funeral) Services
Guidance and support for funeral arrangements and Janazah prayer.
